Many restaurant discovery platforms feel overloaded, impersonal, and difficult to trust. RICO was designed as a more human-centered alternative, combining restaurant discovery, honest reviews, social validation, and reward-based engagement into a simple mobile experience.
The goal was to help users explore new places with more confidence while creating stronger long-term engagement through community and benefits.

The product experience was designed around a simple engagement loop. Users could unlock benefits by completing reservations and leaving verified reviews after visiting each restaurant.
Rewards included discounts, exclusive dining experiences, complimentary products, and point-based incentives designed to encourage long-term engagement.
Design direction
Social, modern, trustworthy, and easy to use.
The visual experience was designed to feel social, modern, and trustworthy while keeping navigation and interaction flows simple and easy to understand.
Special attention was given to information hierarchy, restaurant discovery pages, mobile-first usability, and UX writing to create a more approachable tone of voice across the product.
